 On the weekend of 7 and 8 June, the Worcestershire Football Association held their annual girls and ladies mini soccer tournament. Redditch United sent a total 14 teams and over 100 girls to the tournament, covering all age ranges from under-10 to under-16 as well as two ladies teams. It turned out to be a successful day for Redditch as they carried off the winners trophy in the under-13 and under-16 sections, plus they finished as runners-up at under-10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 age groups. This was a fantastic weekend for the club and all of the girls, who are now in training for the 2008-09 season. Anybody wishing to join the club for next season, please e-mail magictrev1@yahoo.co.uk.
