Stuart leaves Sky Blues for Blues
 Women's Football News 10 Jun 2008

Coventry City LFC have announced, with their regret, that First Team Coach and Centre of Excellence Director Stuart Wilson will move to National Division neighbours Birmingham City Ladies F.C for next season.

Wilson moved to Coventry to lead the club back to the Premier League in 2006 as a key part of their 'Think Premiership' campaign and for the last two seasons has narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing second on both occasions.

Commenting on his move, Wilson stated: "I have had to make possibly the hardest decision in my life, let alone in football, to leave Coventry City Ladies Football Club. The opportunity to manage at the top level with Birmingham City was just too good to turn down, but it does not make it easy to resign from a club that has given me three years of fantastic experience.

"I leave a squad who are as determined as the Board to get them promotion and I feel sure they can do it. Coventry are one of the best clubs I have ever worked with and I wish them all the best."

Coventry chairman David Singleton added: "I am flattered that Birmingham City Ladies approached us to talk to Stuart and I wish him all them best on his move. We have progressed tremendously well with him and we know that we can build on his legacy.

"Such has our profile grown over the last few seasons, we have already interviewed some first class candidates to join the team and carry on his outstanding work."

Interested applicants should e-mail their CV to cclfc@hotmail.com.
