 Charlotte Miller says that she and her Cardiff City team mates are looking forward to the challenge of taking on Keynsham Town in the Third Round of the F.A.Women's Cup on Sunday. The Southern Division high flyers play host to their South West Combination opponents but they will not be taking the Bristol side lightly. "When we first found out that we were playing Keynsham, we were quite happy with the draw as our opponents are in a different league to us and we as a club love the challenge to play all different standards of football," Charlotte told Women's Soccer Scene. The skilful midfielder admitted that Keynsham are relatively unknown opposition. "We don't really know a lot about this team," says Charlotte, "but what we do know is that they are a good footballing side doing well in the Combination league. We aren't going to underestimate the fact they are in a lower league for one minute because the cup is anyone's game, as we experienced three seasons ago when we were in the South West Combination, reaching the quarter finals by beating teams who were higher than ourselves. "A good Cup run is very important to the team because we love to play against teams with more experience than ourselves, to compare and see how far off we are from playing at the very top. This season we are doing well, so hopefully we can have a repeat of a few seasons ago where we beat three teams higher than ourselves, including Everton." After a delay to the start of their season due to being involved in the UEFA Women's Cup, Cardiff have been in excellent form in the league and have only lost once all season. They sit in third place in the table, with games in hand, but Charlotte remains cautious about their chances of promotion. "We are having a fantastic season, when considering the loss of good experienced players due to retirement and injuries," she says. "At the start of the season, our targets for the year were to retain the Welsh Cup for the fourth year running and qualify for Europe, and to finish in the top half of the league table. "We have surprised ourselves with the position that we are in now. We have a very young, talented team but maybe promotion would be a little too much for the team yet, as most of our players are just kids. But if we continue to play the good football we have been doing, and keep picking up the three points, then realistically promotion could be a possibility."
