 Sheffield Wednesday take on Manchester City in the F.A.Women's Cup on Sunday and Wednesday captain Emma Glenc is aiming for a significant result as they seek to retain their Premier League status.Wednesday were relegated two years ago after a 'great escape' performed by City took them to safety. "It took all of last season to recover and it still hurts now," Emma told Women's Soccer Scene. "A win on Sunday would be a bittersweet revenge for the year we went down. "It's a fantastic opportunity for us and a great challenge as we want to be successful this year. It is a chance to prove to ourselves that we are still as professional and technical as a Premier League team. "One of our prime focuses this season is that we wouldn't look too hard at teams before we face them. But we know that Manchester City are always a good footballing team and it should be a good game." After a third place finish last season, Wednesday are among the challengers in the Northern Combination this time around but things haven't been running smoothly. "We're on a winning streak - six out of the last seven matches - but we seem to be picking up an injury each game," says Emma. "The game is a lot slower and more physical at this level. Key players such as Sarah Abrahams and Jo Torr have long term injuries and it all seems to have happened over a couple of months, but we have got a fit side and 16 good players, as we have strength in depth." Emma was a member of the Doncaster Belles squad which reached the Final in 2000, where they lost to Croydon, and she was a substitute on the day. She recognises the importance of good Cup results to her team: "For the profile of the club, a cup run would be massive. A couple of players in the squad have only ever played in the opening rounds so it is all about ambitions on the day. "We are trying to take it week by week but the league is our priority because we want to be back in the Premier League, and in comparison to last year I feel we have got a good chance. "The teams that lie around the top (of the Northern Combination) are those that like to play football and keep the ball on the ground - the likes of Middlesbrough, Hull, Caernarfon and ourselves, but we seem to have found our feet and know how to adapt and win games. The league is fairly even but hopefully after Christmas we can try and break away, rather like Preston did last season."
